GuS is established by its managing director and sole shareholder Dieter Kuhnke.

The company moves into the newly-built production facilities on the Lübbecke industrial estate (today's facilities cover an area of 8,000 m²).

Production facilities are awarded for their good industrial architecture.

Production is started of laser protection filters for service in periscopes.

Introduction of the glass periscope production line.

GuS is certified in accordance with the standard ISO 9001.

Introduction of a UV-resistant laminating system for all acrylic periscopes.

Start of series production of armoured glass, which will be used in the new generation of armoured vehicles for the Federal Army.

Productive start of the new SAP R/3 ERP system.

The product line "modular protective equipment" is included in the product range.

GuS now uses the CATIA^TM CAD design software.

The company GuS extends its marketing activities in the field of armoured glass into Europe.

Following previous successful years, the production facility is enlarged and a high-bay warehouse is constructed.

The last sublet buildings on premises will be exclusively used by GuS.

GuS celebrates its 35th anniversary. Besides GuS expand the production hall to provide the last available areas on operating site for manufacturing.

On 01.07.2012 the company GuS Periscopes starts their business as a subsidiary company of GuS.

Put our own environment + qualification test center into operation.

Expansion of glass processing capacity

Change in management (resignation of Detlef Kuhnke + appointment of Dr. Tanja Lindermeier-Kuhnke)

GuS celebrates its 40th anniversary.

On 6th September, 2017 GuS change its name from GuS Präzision in Kunststoff, Glass und Optik GmbH & Co.KG into GuS glass + safety GmbH & Co. KG.
